BANDUNG, itb.ac.id - School of Business and Management (SBM) ITB along with Indonesia Tower held business idea competition which followed by 14 teams as participant. Each team, consist of three member, must apply a business idea proposal which be based on WiMAX Technology. WiMAX, stand for Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access, is broadband wireless access technology with high speed and wide coverage. There were 14 team registered as participant. But the committee had only invited six selected team to be presented their proposal in front of the judge council. The presentation took place at Tutorial Room 3A SBM, on Friday (18/7). Each team had 15 minute to present their idea and another 10 minute for QA session. The final began around 12.00 and ended at 18.00. Initially the judge required 10 minute to decide the winner. However due to tight number the time extended till 19.00. The first place took by Technopreneur team, the second grabbed by Compact Team, and the third in the hand of Nirvana team. Therefore, they had right for Rp 30 million, Rp 20 million, and Rp 15 million cash prize to pocket. The prize will be bestowed in coincidence with other SBM ceremony in the near time. Indonesia Tower shows their gratitude for their partner, SBM ITB as reason for abundant WiMAX business idea. “We surprised sense of business and creativity among students here is quite huge”, Indonesia Tower representative said.
