E-Camp ITB Entrepreneurship Challenge 2011: Providing Inspiration and Education in Entrepreneurship
BANDUNG, itb.ac.id - As many as 20 best teams with 20 diverse business idea proposals were chosen out of the initial 670 teams that participated in the ITB Entrepreneurship Challenge (IEC 2011) took part in the Entrepreneur-Camp (E-Camp) as a part of a coaching clinic program in the IEC 2011. The camp was done for a week; from Monday (03/21/11) to Saturday (03/26/11) in the President Executive Club, Jababeka, Bekasi.
E-Camp has became some sort of a unique characteristic that sets IEC different from other business ideas competitions. The E-Camp was done to train and teach the finalists on how to create a proper and innovative business plan in order prepare them for the next stages.
"There are three main factors that any entrepreneurs need to possess; idea, concept, and capital. The camp prepares the finalists to construct a strong idea so that they can operate by their own," Renard Widarto, IEC 2011 convener, stressed in the program opening.
The camp included business plan building training, presentation skills training, entrepreneurship sharing, venture capital, networking tricks, public speaking training, and many more. Afterwards, the finalists would be given time to revise and refine their proposals before they go to the next stage, where only 10 teams will make the list.
The camp also involved several notable speakers that participated in providing the training. Among them are Sarah Lacy, Merry Riana, Arfiana Rafnialdi (GRAK Training Consultant), CIEL, Rizky Adiwilaga, M. Andy Zaky, Betti Alisjahbana, Rahardjo Ramelan, Harry G. Harris, Mrs. Francis (SBM-ITB Lecturer), and many more.
"I want participating teams to be even more aware and intelligent in becoming 'the real entrepreneur', which, I think, is not only somebody that obtains a huge profit, but also provides a better living for the surrounding environments," explained Renard when asked about the goal of the camp.
