Commemorating Mother's Day, ITB Held ITB Women Researcher Innovation Output Exhibition
BANDUNG, itb.ac.id - In order to have an active role in industrial improvement in Indonesia, The Institute for Research and Community Services of ITB (LPPM-ITB) held discussion seminar and exhibition at once at Friday (20/12/13). This event that held in East Campus Center was carrying "Indonesian Resource-based Research to Support Indonesian Industry" theme with focus in 3 industrial sectors which are food industry, health industry, and creative industry. Three industrial sectors which the seminar and exhibition focused on were discussed specifically in the seminar parallel with the ITB research development priority area this moment. Through this event, ITB wanted to show its effort to support Indonesia genuine natural resources utilization in performance improvement at many fields in Indonesia's industry. In this event, the discussion was held about research output that can improve value and benefit of Indonesia natural resources to support industry in this country.
Coincide with Mother's Day commemoration in Indonesia, these seminar and exhibition titled "Innovation and ITB Women Researcher Contribution for Industry and Community" was also aimed to dissemination some of ITB women researcher output that related with the event's theme. Dr. Penia Kresnowati and Dr. Ernawati Arifin Giri-Rachman were representative of ITB women researcher and being the speaker about research in food and health industry sector. While in creative industry sector, Dr. Dwinita Larasati filled the event with being the speaker in seminar and discussion session. Besides ITB women researcher, were also invited another researcher from Biofarma Dr. Neni Nurainy, and Batik Fractal entrepreneur, Nany Margried.
In the exhibition, it was exhibited various handicrafts made from bamboo as creative industry's object. The handicrafts were created in the form of bags, cutleries, and fruit storage that can longer the banana storage time as the form of collaboration with food industry. Besides that, it was exhibited line up of ITB lecturer and researcher's research posters that packaged attractively.
In this event, LPPM-ITB also collaborated with Indonesia Young Researcher Forum (ForMIND). ForMIND is a forum that consists of Indonesia young researchers from various studies and different background studies. Parallel with LPPPM-ITB's concept, ForMIND also develops an Indonesia research plan based on ideal condition from each studies, and integrated it with national problems.
