ITB Successfully Held the Phase I and II COVID-19 Vaccinations for ITB Lecturers, Staffs, and Pensioners

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id - ITB has successfully held the phase 1 and 2 of COVID-19 vaccination for The immunization implementation for ITB lecturers, education staff, and the pensioners. The first vaccination stage was held on March 22-24, 2021, following the second stage on April 19-23, 2021. The number of participants reached 3,816 people.

Head of University Health Service, Diky Mudhakir, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D., said the number of elderly who were vaccinated in the second stage was 409 people. During this second vaccination, the participants were limited to only 800 people.

The representative from RSHS Bandung, dr. Arin said that the vaccination process has been doing well so far. There are no obstacles in the screening process and the medical examination stage. "Everything has no problems, everything is well-run," she said.

Appreciation of the Rector

The representative of ITB Rectorate, the University Secretary, and Professor Dr.-Ing Ir. Widjaja Martokusumo expressed appreciation to all parties who have made the program successful. According to him, ITB did this to speed up the end of the COVID-19 pandemic. "The Rector highly appreciates RSHS and other health care teams who have assisted in the implementation of vaccinations," he said in a vaccine evaluation meeting in Sabuga ITB, Friday (23/4).

Meanwhile, the ITB Vaccination Coordinator, Ir. Sri Harjati Suhardi, Ph.D., also added that coordination went well between ITB, RSHS, and the team of medical personnel during the implementation of the activity. So far, she has not received any complaints from vaccine recipients either. "The implementation of the activity went well, there were no significant obstacles. The service also went well and comfortably," she said. The implementation of vaccination activities still refers to the 5 M national health protocol (maintaining distance, wearing masks, washing hands, staying away from crowds, and reducing mobility).
