Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), Institute for Research and Community Services’ Foster Villages (Desa Binaan) This year, we have walked a long way. From outstanding workmanships to significant figures of this nation were born in this treasured campus. This long journey has shown us that a great deal of endurance and achievements must comply with the depths of the heart, so the magnitude of these great works could affect an array of people in this nation. It is crucial for us to bridge these works with them, (the fellow countrymen). We truly believe in the necessity of guarding this (mother)land with an ample of immeasurable values. We truly believe these core values come from our strong societies. And this worth is closely intertwined in each fathom of their simplicity in life. In the depth of its clump-forming bamboos. To the hard and dry soil in this country’s frontier. We need a modest proposition in leading their way. So they can step forward with the strength of its ingrained invaluable values. We are nothing without them. Their precious treasure is the one that evolves and manifests as the Master of their modesty. We only show them ways to find their own strengths. To be capable of presenting their creations before our potential connections. To the day when this nation’s big book records, Come to them... Live with them… Do something with what they’re capable of… One day when assistance is no longer needed… They would say, “We address the problems alone”
