ITB and Ogan Komering Ulu Regency Government Collaborate to Promote Education, Research, and Regional Innovation

ITB Rector, Prof. Dr. Ir. Tatacipta Dirgantara, M.T., and the Regent of Ogan Komering Ulu, H. Teddy Meilwansyah, S.STP, MM, M.Pd., signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Wednesday (February 25, 2026) at the ITB Rectorate. The collaboration covers the fields of education, research, and community service as part of efforts to strengthen cooperation between higher education institutions and regional governments in supporting regional development

Prof. Tata stated that ITB, as the oldest engineering education institution in Indonesia, carries two main missions: to become a world-class university while delivering tangible impact to society. He explained that ITB has established many collaborations with regional governments through various expert services, including addressing waste management issues, energy development, and regional and urban planning. In addition, ITB also provides opportunities for regional governments to send their best young talents through scholarship programs to pursue their studies at ITB.
