The Rector of ITB, Prof. Dr. Ir. Tatacipta Dirgantara, M.T., along with several faculty members, attended the International Strategic Meeting on Scientific Pathways for Sustainable Livestock Industry Transformation, organized by the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). The event was held at the Sumitro Djojohadikusumo Auditorium, B.J. Habibie Building, Jakarta, on March 27–28, 2026.
The event, which brought together scientists, policymakers, industry practitioners, and international partners from 33 countries, strengthened global collaboration to promote a science-based transformation of the sustainable livestock industry.
At the event, the Rector of ITB was accompanied by several faculty members, namely Acep Purqon, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D. (Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences/FMIPA), Prof. Dr.rer.nat. apt. Sophi Damayanti, S.Si., M.Si. (School of Pharmacy/SF), Anriansyah Renggaman, M.Sc., Ph.D. (School of Life Sciences and Technology/SITH), and Ir. Neil Priharto, S.Si., M.T., Ph.D. (SITH).
Representatives from ITB also engaged with various stakeholders during the event, including the Head of BRIN, Prof. Dr. Arif Satria, S.P., M.Si., and the Assistant Director-General and Chief Veterinarian, as well as Director of the Animal Production and Health Division of FAO, Thanawat Tiensin, discussing the transformation of the livestock sector.
