Strategic Collaboration between ITB and Fakfak Regency Government to Strengthen Human Resources and Sustainable Development

The Rector of ITB, Prof. Dr. Ir. Tatacipta Dirgantara, M.T., and the Regent of Fakfak, Samaun Dahlan, S.Sos., M.AP., signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Wednesday (February 11, 2026) at the ITB Rectorate Building. The agreement marks the beginning of collaboration in the fields of education, human resource (HR) development, research and technology, community service, and support for accelerating regional development.

Prof. Tata stated that most areas of Papua are protected forests with enormous natural resource potential. However, challenges in human resource management remain a shared concern. According to him, accelerating progress in regions such as Fakfak presents significant opportunities when managed through the right collaboration.
