ITB Rector and Education Attaché of the Indonesian Embassy in Beijing Discuss Opportunities for Academic and Research Collaboration with China

The Rector of ITB, Prof. Dr. Ir. Tatacipta Dirgantara, M.T., together with the Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs (WRAM), Prof. Dr. Irwan Meilano, S.T., M.Sc., had a dinner meeting with the Education and Culture Attaché (Atdikbud) of the Indonesian Embassy in Beijing, Yudil Chatim, on Wednesday (12 November 2025). In addition to strengthening ties, both parties discussed opportunities for collaboration to expand access and connections with various research centers and educational institutions in China, as well as strategic efforts to enhance Indonesia’s—particularly ITB’s—role in educational and research cooperation within the ASEAN–China framework. This meeting marks an important step toward international collaboration aimed at advancing higher education and global research, reinforcing ITB’s commitment to becoming an increasingly competitive and impactful university.
