The Rector of Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Prof. Dr. Ir. Tatacipta Dirgantara, M.T., attended the 2026 Presidential Briefing of the Republic of Indonesia at the State Palace on Thursday (15 January 2026). The event was attended by university leaders, academics, and stakeholders in the fields of higher education and science. Held under the theme “Human Capital, Higher Education, and Science for Indonesia’s Resurgence,” the briefing served as a momentum to align national policy directions with the agenda of higher education transformation and the strengthening of the national research ecosystem. The event also reaffirmed the central role of human capital, higher education, and science as the main foundations for innovation, industrialization, and the nation’s global competitiveness
