TB Rector Inaugurates Community-Based Drinking Water Supply in Guwa Lor, Cirebon

The Rector of ITB, Prof. Dr. Ir. Tatacipta Dirgantara, M.T., officially inaugurated “Tirta Masjid Guwa Lor,” a Community-Based Drinking Water Supply (Pamsimas) initiative, in Guwa Lor Village, Cirebon, on Friday (12 December 2025).

Through the Kampus Berdampak program, ITB continues to deliver tangible solutions for communities, including expanding access to clean water through zakat, infaq, and sadaqah (ZIS) funds that are managed responsibly and sustainably. This initiative represents the integration of academic expertise, social concern, and humanitarian values.

ITB serves not only as a center for education and research but also as a partner to communities in addressing essential needs. Collaboration among the academic community, partners, and local residents through this social funding scheme is expected to generate meaningful impact, improve residents’ quality of life, and strengthen the role of higher education institutions as inclusive and equitable agents of development.
