Rector Inaugurates Saraga Padel Courts, a New Venue for Sports and Community at ITB

The Rector of Institut Teknologi Bandung, Tatacipta Dirgantara, officially inaugurated the Saraga ITB Padel Courts on Wednesday (June 17, 2026). The new facility is part of the ongoing development of Sarana Olahraga Ganesha (Saraga) ITB as a sports complex that serves both the ITB academic community and the general public.

In his remarks, the Rector emphasized that physical and mental well-being are essential foundations for productivity, particularly within an academic environment. He noted that academic excellence depends not only on intellectual ability but also on maintaining good physical health, mental freshness, and effective stress management.

The Saraga ITB Padel facility features three indoor courts, complemented by supporting amenities including a prayer room, changing rooms, toilets, lockers, hot showers, and a café where visitors can relax after exercising. The facility is open to both the public and the ITB community, operating daily from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. (WIB). Court rental rates range from IDR 100,000 to IDR 200,000 per hour. Reservations and court availability can be accessed through the Courtside application.

The new padel courts are located within the Saraga ITB sports complex, behind the swimming pool and pickleball courts.
