The Rector of ITB officially inaugurated the Ibnu Firnas Mosque at the ITB Cirebon Campus on Friday (12 December 2025). The mosque serves not only as a place of worship but also as a center for character development activities for the entire academic community and the surrounding public, marking the strengthening of the campus education ecosystem and services in line with the growing academic, research, and student activities. Named after the 9th-century Muslim scholar Ibn Firnas, the mosque symbolizes the synergy between knowledge, faith, and innovation. The Rector of ITB, Prof. Dr. Ir. Tatacipta Dirgantara, M.T., emphasized that the mosque is envisioned as a shared space for worship, dialogue, and the reinforcement of integrity values, and is expected to further strengthen cross-disciplinary interaction among students at the Cirebon Campus.
