BANDUNG, itb.ac.id – The Directorate of Partnerships of Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) officially launched the Nagoya University Short Program on Monday (February 10, 2026). The opening ceremony was held at the Auditorium on the 8th Floor of the CRIMSE Building, ITB Ganesha Campus, and was attended by students and members of the academic community from ITB and Nagoya University.
In his opening remarks, Director of Partnerships at ITB, Dr. Ir. Endra Gunawan, S.T., M.Sc., expressed his appreciation for the long-standing collaboration between ITB and Nagoya University.
“Once again, I would like to express my gratitude. This is also part of our shared history, as we have collaborated with Nagoya University for a long time. Congratulations once again. I hope you gain many valuable experiences and enjoy your time here,” said Dr. Endra.

The Nagoya University Short Program is designed as a comprehensive initiative that integrates academic learning, cross-cultural discussions, and field-based experiences. Throughout the program, participants engage in various lectures and discussions at ITB, covering strategic topics such as product design, manufacturing, innovation management, and business and entrepreneurship development.
In addition to academic activities, the program is enriched with guest lectures delivered by faculty members and practitioners, interactive discussions among students from ITB and Nagoya University, and exchange sessions focusing on educational and research systems in both countries. These activities are expected to broaden students’ global perspectives and encourage interdisciplinary collaboration.
To provide a broader contextual understanding, participants also take part in various off-campus activities, including cultural visits, field trips to industries and villages, and cultural exchange programs. Through these activities, students not only learn in the classroom but also gain insights into local culture, community life, and industrial practices in Indonesia. The program also includes visits to Bandung and its surrounding areas as part of cultural and historical exploration.
This collaboration between ITB and Nagoya University aims to enhance students’ global outlook, strengthen international academic networks, and reaffirm both institutions’ commitment to creating a holistic learning experience. As one of Indonesia’s leading universities, ITB continues to promote strategic partnerships with world-class universities, including Nagoya University in Japan.
Through the Nagoya University Short Program, participants are expected to gain meaningful academic and cultural experiences, expand their international networks, and bring home new knowledge and perspectives that will contribute to their personal development and their respective institutions.
