The USIPP Consortium, ITB Became The Representative of Indonesia Higher Education

The USIPP Consortium was first launched in May 2013 consisting of six universities in Indonesia and six institutions of higher education in the United States. Twelve college is committed to advancing academic in the U.S. and Indonesia. USIPP Consortium also is the result of a grant from the U.S. State Department and the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) which has funded collaborative program administered by the Institute of International Education (IIE) from 2010-2012. The purpose of this program is to improve U.S. students who study abroad one of Indonesia, as well as to encourage long-term partnerships between higher education institutions the U.S. and Indonesia. Through this program American students 37 to 6 lecturers Americans studying in Indonesia.
With this activity was expected that all institutions of higher education involved believes can run well cooperation in realizing a sustainable environment and a strong community. In practice, there are sub-themes related to sustainable environment among other eco-art, marine biology and biodiversity, and Urbanism. Whereas in building a strong community of which is to reduce natural disaster and risk management, cross-cultural studies, democracy and religious pluralism. Workshop participants will be given time to discuss such matters by making research proposals and new programs which will bring a new concept.
U.S. academic relations - Indonesia has increased since the U.S. President and the President announce COmpehensive Partnership between the two countries in 2010 that focuses on education. USIPP Consortium is a strong commitment from the higher education sector in both countries follow through relationships and commitment in improving education.
