Art Exhibition : "ZOO, A Mental Map to Understanding Nature"

Started on Saturday (7/6), took place in Galeri Soemardja Faculty of Art and Design (FSRD) ITB, was an art work exhibition titled “ZOO, A Mental Map to Understanding Nature”. The exhibition was showing art work of nine artists, with different language, trying to express same problem about their concern in distance concept and its relation with nature, including their knowledge about nature’s concept and definition.
ZOO attempt to rediscover the matter of distance between human and nature and thus was expected to present a different point of view among the public in their understanding about nature and art phenomena. ZOO, defines as a nature representatives, contain various life creatures with each habitat. A zoo which always present in the middle of urban society is a clear representative of the separation between human kind and natural life.
ZOO was transform into conservation arena for sustainability of creature life and entertainment media as well. ZOO is the form of human effort to engineer their nature, carrying amidst the urban environment. “The exhibition is an effort to make the distance between human and nature come closer using art”, as cited from curator Albert Yonathan Setyawan.
Displaying art on the exhibition was property of Agung Prabowo, Cinanti Astria Johansyah, Endira Fitriasti Julianda, Faisal Habibi, Feby Babyrose, R.Yuki Agriardi, Rizaldi Fakhrudin, Sekarputi Sidhiawati, and Syaiful Aulia Garibaldi. The exhibition is on going till June 17, open from 09.00 am to 04.00 pm.
