Center of Excellence on Carbon Capture Storage and Carbon Capture, Utility and Storage, ITB's Real Steps in Decarbonization Efforts

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id - Prof. Reini Wirahadikusumah Ph.D., Rector of ITB, conveyed the ITB's determination and seriousness to assist the government's plans for renewable energy. Prof. Reini was a panelist at the 2021 Media Group News Summit, themed green and clean energy, on Thursday (28/1/2021).
Prof. Reini stated several challenges in decarbonization, namely the local capacity to run renewable energy, reduce coal use, and improve coal efficiency by using technologies such as Carbon Capture Storage and Utilization.
ITB has established the Center of Excellence in Science and Technology, Carbon Capture Storage (CCS) and Carbon Capture, Utility, and Storage. This organization is the determination and commitment of ITB in reducing carbon emissions.
ITB also has several research centers with energy-related research at ITB, namely the Center for Energy Policy, the Center for New and Renewable Energy Research, the Center for Sustainable Transportation Technology Development, and the Center for Catalyst Engineering.
