BANDUNG, itb.ac.id – The enthusiasm is the key to social community service activities. That's exactly what Deny Willy Junaidy, Ph.D., wants to share with all of the ITB community. Currently, Deny is the lecturer of FSRD ITB and Secretary for Community Service at LPPM ITB.

In 2019, the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education of Indonesia held an award, namely the Diktendik Achievement Award. As the ITB representative, Deny won the award as the third place of outstanding social humanities lecturer.

From the interview on Tuesday (8/6/2021), Deny revealed that dozens of other nominees were assessed and selected by judges from the Ministry of Research and Technology. As a nominator, Deny presented the projects related to the nomination. He explained his community service projects targeting micro-industries, especially craft artists (pengrajin), as the object.

The implemented projects impacted the local craft artists positively. The result makes Deny even more motivated to continue his project. He said that there is a certain joy and bliss in being able to help those artists. Therefore, Deny wants to share his idea and enthusiasm for ITB students by inviting them to work together with local craft artists since the 2000s.
