BANDUNG, itb.ac.id — Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), as a State University Legal Entity (PTN-BH) in Indonesia, is dedicated to advancing science, technology, and arts, aiming to establish itself as a leading institution for technology research and education, both nationally and internationally.

Aligned with this mission, ITB is committed to nurturing high-quality human resources, focusing not only on academic excellence but also on fostering intellectual character, in line with the values of AIR ITB (Adaptive, Integrity, Humble, Initiator of Goodness, Resilience, and Achievement blessed by God).

To bolster its role in cultivating superior researchers and developing quality human resources, ITB provides various forms of assistance to students, including scholarships.

Scholarships, whether in the form of financial aid or recognition of academic achievement, are provided to support students in their pursuit of education. These scholarships may cover education costs, living expenses, final project assistance, or the provision of goods to support academic activities.

ITB's scholarship programs are typically categorized into government scholarships and non-government scholarships. Government scholarships, funded by the central or regional governments, and non-government scholarships, sponsored by private organizations, institutions, or companies committed to education, are available to eligible students.

In 2023, ITB had 12 partners offering government scholarships and 66 partners providing non-government scholarships. The total number of government scholarship recipients reached 5,464 students, while 2,143 students received non-government scholarships. Thus, a total of 7,607 students benefited from government and non-government scholarships combined.

Beyond financial assistance, non-government partners also contribute by providing equipment such as laptops to support students' academic endeavors.

Scholarship recipients are active ITB students who meet specific criteria and have been approved by the scholarship provider or ITB management.

These diverse scholarship programs aim to provide students with access to high-quality education, encourage skill development, and foster critical thinking, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities. By enhancing these competencies, students are better equipped to tackle complex challenges and succeed in their future endeavors.
