ICHVEPS International Conference 2021 Presents 127 Papers from 18 Countries

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id-School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics (SEEI) Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) held the International Conference on High Voltage Engineering and Power Systems (ICHVEPS) again in 2021. The conference, which was being held for the third time, was held online on October 5-6, 2021.

Around 127 papers were presented from 18 countries: Indonesia, China, Vietnam, Ecuador, France, India, Iraq, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Turkey, USA, Canada, New Zealand, Italy, and Australia.

The Chairperson of ICHVEPS 2021, Prof. Dr. Ir. Suwarno, M.T., IPU, expressed his hope and gratitude to all the event participants in his opening remarks. Although the event was held online, he expected that all participants from various countries could participate well and benefit from this conference. "Hopefully, the pandemic will end soon so we can hold conferences offline," said him, one of SEEI ITB Electrical Power Research Group professors.

The Dean of SEEI ITB, Dr. Tutun Juhana, S.T., M.T., welcomed the third conference. This conference was designed as an international forum for exchanging ideas, discussing, and disseminating research results in the field of high voltage engineering and power systems technology.

"The paper will be presented in three sessions. All accepted papers are selected for publication," Dr. Tutun said. He hoped that the participants could enjoy this conference even from a distance because they could not come directly to Bandung.

Besides the paper presenters, this conference invited 15 speakers from several countries. They were Prof. Udaya Madawala from New Zealand, Prof. Masayuki Hikita from Japan, Prof. Guan-Jun Zhang from China, Prof. Abu Siada from Australia, Prof. Eduard Mulyadi from the USA, Dr. MV Reddy from Canada, Prof. Andrea Cavallini from Italy, Prof. R. Sarathi from India, Prof. Gilbert Teyssedre from France, and Prof. Norasage Pattanadech from Thailand. Meanwhile, from Indonesia, there were Prof. Pekik A. Dahono, Dr. Tumiran, Dr. Nanang Haryanto, Dr. Andreas, and Prof. Suwarno.
