BANDUNG, itb.ac.id – The ITB Art Exhibition returned to celebrate art and strengthen the creative industry ecosystem in West Java. The Acting Governor of West Java, Bey Machmudin, emphasized the significance of the event for young artists, calling it a golden opportunity for collaboration in developing the creative industry—especially in Bandung, a city recognized as part of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network.

During the soft launch of the ITB Art Exhibition 2025 on February 15, 2025, Bey Machmudin shared that the event is not just about art and music but also a symbol of collaboration in creating monumental works. He noted that the spirit of togetherness in Bandung has long fostered the creation of many works that instill regional pride.

"Bandung and West Java are the heart of Indonesian innovation and culture. Since the Bandung Sea of Fire, the spirit of collaboration between academia, artists, and the general public has given birth to monumental works," he said.

The year 2025 was highly anticipated by the people of Bandung and West Java as they looked forward to another spectacular ITB Art Exhibition. The Acting Governor revealed that the event had been long awaited and was expected to spark the spirit of art and creativity of the public. By showcasing a myriad of iconic artists and works, he was optimistic that the ITB Art Exhibition could become the best of its kind in Indonesia.

"This should be the best art event in Indonesia since it draws a lot of people to participate. [Let's] give it our absolute best," the Acting Governor declared.

He also affirmed that the West Java Provincial Government was ready to provide full support for the ITB Art Exhibition 2025.

"As the West Java Provincial Government, we will always support the ITB Art Exhibition, as this event is not only a platform for the transaction of works but also for dialogue between tradition and modernity. I personally hope that the ITB Art Exhibition will empower young artists to bring the beauty of Sundanese culture to a wider audience," he stated.
