BANDUNG, itb.ac.id- by ITB’s Postgraduate School is once again entitle the Doctor’s Program Open Session on Saturday (24/5) on level 3, Annex Building. In the session, Erna Tri Herdiani (30104007) defended her dissertation titled “Matrix Correlation Stability Testing Statistics”. Her promoting lecturer in the dissertation was Prof. Dr. Maman A. Djauhari and the co-promotor was Dr. Irawati. The dissertation was about testing stability of a matrix correlation. Matrix Correlation is a covariance matrix where all the variables are standard variables. Due to thus, correlative matrices can be called specific covariance matrices. In the past few years, the monitoring process of the correlative matrix stability received serious literature attention, especially literature in financial and economical fields. The stability test generally uses M-Box and Jennrich statistics. Yet, while many variables are involved, calculating the two statistics became impractical. To overcome this problem, a standard variable-variable variance vector (VVVS) was suggested as the baseline for constructing the statistics test. The dissertation succeeded awarding in ITB Mathematics Alumni 1997 and teaching staffs in Hasanuddin University the title ‘Doctor’ from ITB’s Postgraduate School.
