ITB Holds the First SOEs Digital Forum (Fordigi) Goes to Campus

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id – Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) became the first Campus to hold SOEs Digital Forum (Fordigi). Goes to Campus from 10 other campuses that participated in this program. The program was themed “Break Away from Conventional Thinking, Find Your Next Big Business Idea” and was held on Monday (22/5/2023) at Sasana Budaya Ganesha ITB.

This program was attended by the Minister of SOEs, the Deputy of Human Resources Management, Technology, and Information of the Ministry of SOEs, Tedi Bharata, the Chairman of Fordigi, Fajrin Rasyid, the Rector of ITB, Reini Wirahadikusumah, Ph.D., Commissary of Pertamina, Iggi H. Achsien, and the President Director of Pertamina, Nicke Widyawati represented.

The speakers of this seminar are the SVP Enterprise IT Petamina, Isa Antariksa; SVP Integrated Enterprise Data and Command Center Pertamina, Sigit Pratopo; and Community Manager, Developer Relations Google Indonesia Supporting Developer Community in SEA, Danang Juffry.

In his remark, the chairman of SOEs Digital Forum, Fajrin Rasyid, hopes that students could take on the role of digital talent. Therefore, they need to have high digital literacy, critical thinking, effective communication, adaptive and collaborative skills, and also become a problem solver that can solve digital-based problems.

According to the MBA ITB alumni, Indonesia is projected to have demands of 9 million digital talent in 15 years, or around 600.000 talents every year. Therefore, Fordigi is providing work and training programs to help university students continuously learn and develop digital talent, to bring positive impact and play a significant role for corporations or digital industries globally.

Chair of Division IV Fordigi Ecosystem Development, Beatrix Santi Anugrah, explained in this city chapter #1 ITB that from a total of 188 pitch decks, six finalists will be selected to present their ideas in Hackathon Fordigi Goes to Campus chapter #1. The selected ideas are expected to be realized in a new digital platform. In this event, two teams from ITB, Luminava, Groundex, and Eco-Brains, won the first, second, and favorite positions, respectively.

A student from ITB who participated in the program, Arif Purwanto Kaban, said Fordigi is very beneficial and fun. In addition to gaining knowledge on digitalization, the speakers who present at the event are experts with a deep understanding of current digitalization trends.
