FIRA RoboWorld Cup is an international competition to race the ability of humanoid robots to play soccer. The robot has been designed to do smart and independent work to play the ball so that people are only involved as the referee and manager. The event which has been regularly held every year since 1995 had seven categories competed this year. There were Micro-Robot Soccer Tournament (MiroSot), Simulated Robot Soccer Tournament (SimuroSot), Humanoid Robot Soccer Tournament (HuroCup), AmireSot, NaroSot, AndroSot, and RoboSot.

Hoogeschool Dago team managed to excel in the category HuroCup-United Soccer and got the first place. Last year FIRA ITB team also managed to get the second place in this category. There were nine branches of the race in HuroCup: the Penalty Kick, Obstacle Run, Sprint, Marathon, Lift and Carry, Weight Lifting, Basketball, Climbing Wall, Long Jump, and United Soccer.

The event was participated by many countries such as USA, Germany, Singapore, Australia, China, and so on. It was very interesting because the robot was programmed to play soccer with various obstacles on the field. The game certainly was not designed as simple as general soccer, the robot must be able to avoid some obstacles on the playing field.
