ITB Student Wins 1st Runner-Up in the Selection of Mojang Jajaka for Bandung Regency 2023

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id - 2021 Interior Design Study Program student, Faculty of Art and Design, Institut Teknologi Bandung (FAD ITB), Dilpa Nur Saputra, secured 1st runner-up position in the Mojang Jajaka election of Bandung Regency 2023. The event consisted of a number of series with the peak of the event being held at Gedong Budaya Soreang on Sunday (11/19/2023).

Dilpa, who is also an ITB Campus Ambassador, mentioned that his motivation to participate in the Mojang Jajaka election arose from a deep desire to enhance his public speaking skills and expand his social network, especially in Bandung Regency.

"I see this not only as a challenge, but also as a concrete effort to apply the potential and skills that I have developed previously," Dilpa said.

During the selection process, Dilpa faced various challenges, one of which was a tight schedule. However, positive support from lecturers helped Dilpa go through the process smoothly until he reached the final stage.

"At the quarantine stage, I was given the mandate with the role of Abah Mojang Jajaka for the class of 2023, a responsibility that brings its own pride. I not only actively participated in carrying out my duties, but also sought to embrace my classmates with warmth," he stated.

Dilpa's success as the 1st Runner-up in the Bandung Regency's Jajaka was supported by the ideas and innovations presented during the selection interview. Ideas related to waste management were the focus of his presentation.

Dilpa shared several tips and tricks for achieving success amidst a busy schedule, including open communication with lecturers and friends, exploring various opportunities to help ease the economic burden on his family, and utilizing positive environments or communities.

"By balancing academic tasks, effective communication, and seizing opportunities around me, I managed to achieve this. It's not just about seeking individual success but also about how each step taken can have a positive impact on oneself and the surrounding environment," he said.
