BANDUNG, itb.ac.id – The ITB Studium Generale (KU-4078) class was held online on Wednesday (23/03/2022), inviting the Head Director of Jasa Raharja, Rivan Purwanton, to discuss the importance of having a digital mindset to ensure road safety.
Dr. G. Prasetyo Adhitama, S.Sn., M.Sn., the Director of Student Affairs, stated that the topics that would be taught were applicable to driving. He hoped that the information conveyed gives them new insights outside their study major.
In his presentation, Rivan described that Jasa Raharja covered all types of transportation–air, land, or water. The company has carried out its mandate based on Law No. 33 and 34 in 1964, specializing in the development of JRku workflow that functions as a FrontEnd digital service to connect communities. These communities are divided into four kinds: victims and their families, bus entrepreneurs, travelers, and others.
This system can show the payment history of compensations. Its development will be performed throughout Indonesia to allow easy facilitation. In order to succeed, integration of the system is needed to support its operation and service. This integration comprises the Korlantas POLRI (Traffic Corps of Indonesia’s National Police), Ministry of Health, BPJS Kesehatan (Social Security Administrator for Health), SAMSAT (One-Stop Administration System), Angkasa Pura I and II, Indonesia National Service, and KAI (Indonesia Railway Service).
Frequent accidents push Jasa Raharja to digitize its formerly administrative service system. One of these systems is MONIKA (Casualty Monitoring) which successfully integrated three systems (IRSMS Traffic Corps, Dasi-JR Jasa Raharja, and Vclaim Health BPJS). This integration helps hospital and police services to be faster by 14 minutes.
Applying a one-stop digital service to the entire process makes a touchless and safe ecosystem. Moreover, the system was equipped with a dashboard that monitors accidents to display information about the victim’s injuries as well as the location and time of the occurrence.
Riven added that Jasa Raharja was established upon the five pillars: road safety management, safer road, safer vehicle, safer people, and post-crash. Reinforcing these principles to prevent further incidents, victims of road traffic accidents are guaranteed their safety.
On another note, Jasa Raharja collaborates with universities to involve both students and staff in promoting traffic safety through innovations. These innovations can be channeled using academic or creative media to reduce the frequency of accidents.
