BANDUNG, itb.ac.id – The Angklung Student Family (Keluarga Paduan Angklung (KPA)) gave a mesmerizing performance on the international stage during the Borneo Cultural Festival 2023 organized by the Sibu’s City Government, Sarawak, Malaysia. As one of Indonesia’s delegates, KPA ITB students created pride by combining culture and art during the festival that took place from July 14 to 23, 2023.

The Borneo Cultural Festival 2023 is an annual event organized by Sibu’s City Government, with the purpose of introducing and celebrating the rich culture of Borneo to the world. Every year, this festival serves as a gathering place for diverse cultural communities, with art galleries, cultural performances, and intercultural collaboration.

KPA ITB put on a spectacular show on the international stage by combining angklung (Indonesia's traditional musical instrument) and modern contemporary creation. The harmony that comes from the combination of traditional and modern elements has created a magical atmosphere that touches the hearts of the audience.

KPA ITB’s participation in the Borneo Cultural Festival 2023 shows the spirit and dedication of Indonesian students in preserving and introducing Indonesian culture on the international level, not just as a show. KPA ITB’s participation in this show also demonstrates their commitment to develop a culture bridge between Indonesia and Malaysia.

This achievement is the result of hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm of ITB’s students, who have made significant contributions in introducing Indonesian culture as an integral part of the world’s cultural diversity. With the same enthusiasm, they have continued their journey to preserve the culture and create a positive impact on the global community.
