Prof. Reini Hopes that a Culture of Innovation Supports in Facing the Nation's Challenges

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id— Rector of the Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) Prof. Reini Wirahadikusumah, Ph.D., delivered a speech in the Excellent Research Culture Volume 04 discussion series by the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) ITB, Wednesday (28/4/2021). According to Prof. Reini, it is a pleasure and honor for ITB to discuss with Chris, a TED curator and a social entrepreneur who supports technology-based companies, such as Tesla and ThorCon.
"We all know what TED is — a nonprofit that provides chat-based ideas. We are familiar with TED, even ITB students organize TEDX-ITB events," she said.
Also, Prof. Reini gives her blessing to Chris, who has interviewed many prominent figures worldwide, to share and hear his valuable experiences. "This culture is already present in ITB and Chris' insights are certainly very valuable to strengthen it. However, the culture of growing and maintaining innovation is a prerequisite for us to answer the challenges to face our country's problems," she stated.
In closing, Prof. Reini said, "In Harmonia Progressio!" and conveyed that these values ??must be kept in mind.
This discussion series invited an international speaker, namely the curator of TED, Chris Anderson. Also, there was a discussion moderated by Prof. Satria Bijaksana, a professor from the Faculty of Mining and Petroleum Engineering (FTTM) ITB, that invited Prof. Reini and former Minister of Research and Technology, Prof. Bambang Brodjonegoro, to construct sharing session related to "Growing and Maintaining Innovation Culture."
