ITB Holds Open House for Eid al-Fitr 1446 H, Rector Conveys Message of Unity

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id – Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) once again held an Open House to celebrate Eid al-Fitr 1446 H, on Monday, March 31, 2025, at Wisma Rektor ITB, Jalan Ir. H. Juanda, Bandung. The event was attended by ITB Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. Tatacipta Dirgantara, M.T., the Board of Directors, lecturers, administrative staff, students, and the greater ITB community.
Prior to the Open House, a communal Eid prayer was held at the basketball court of ITB’s Ganesha Campus.
In his speech, the Rector of ITB extended Eid greetings to the entire academic community and expressed hope that the occasion would strengthen relationships within ITB.
"Taqabbalallahu minna wa minkum, shiyamana wa shiyamakum, kullu 'am wa antum bikhair. May Allah accept our acts of worship and fasting, and may we return to a state of purity," he said.
Prof. Tata added that Eid is the perfect time to forgive and foster togetherness. “We ask for forgiveness, physically and spiritually. Hopefully, on this joyful day, we can all reconnect with our families and colleagues, and celebrate this moment with happiness,” he added.
The Open House featured various activities, including warm gatherings, communal dining, and a session for sharing stories and experiences from the month of Ramadan. Attendees also had the opportunity to speak directly with ITB leaders in a friendly and welcoming setting.
This event also served as an important platform for the ITB community to uphold the spirit of unity and nurture harmonious relationships in both academic and social spheres.
