SBM ITB and Shell Collaborate to Cultivate Renewable Energy Entrepreneurs

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id — The School of Business and Management (SBM ITB) recently hosted Shell Indonesia at Labtek XIX Freeport SBM ITB, welcoming a delegation led by President Director Ingrid Siburian. The visit aimed to introduce the 'Shell LiveWIRE Energy Solutions 2024' competition, fostering entrepreneurship in renewable energy.

Dean of SBM ITB, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ignatius Pulung Nurprasetio, M.SME., emphasized the significance of the event in nurturing young entrepreneurs interested in renewable energy. The program, designed as an entrepreneurial training platform, offers capacity-building boot camps, mentorship sessions, networking opportunities, and funding totaling Rp250 million.

Ingrid Siburian underscored Shell's commitment to supporting the younger generation in addressing energy challenges through business ventures. This collaboration leverages ITB's technological prowess and SBM's business acumen to drive innovation in the renewable energy sector.

Prof. Pulung reiterated ITB's dedication to combating global warming by promoting environmentally friendly energy solutions. Collaborations with industry leaders like Shell are pivotal in fostering innovation and inspiring students to develop sustainable energy solutions.

The event received a warm reception from ITB students, who engaged in discussions with Shell representatives and heard from Herviyandi Herizal, Co-Founder of Aquavoltaic and an ITB Physics Engineering alumnus. Such initiatives empower students to think critically and contribute to the transition towards sustainable energy amid escalating global warming.
