This strategy was revealed at a coordination meeting on Thursday (2/12/2021) on advancing plans and preparations for the implementation of academic activities for Semester II-2021/2022 Cirebon Campus. At the moment, there are 7 (seven) ITB study programs on the Cirebon Campus, but for the initial stage of the transfer process and the implementation of academic activities in Semester II-2021/2022, only students from the Urban and Regional Planning, Industrial Engineering, and Crafts Study Programs will be influenced.
According to Dr. Ir. Iwan Kustiwan, Chairperson of the ITB Program Management Team for the Cirebon Campus, this process was carried out in stages, beginning with the preparation of services and academic plans, transferring employees, trialing multi-campus hybrid lectures, and ending with the first day of offline lectures.
Prof. Jaka Sembiring, Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, stated that ITB presently has three campuses: Ganesha, Jatinangor, and Cirebon, all of which provide equal academic and student services. All ITB Civitas, including Lecturers, Education Personnel, and Students, must share the same notion of service equity across campuses. As the newest campus development acceleration program, ITB will employ the Cirebon campus as an introduction center in establishing the 4.0 learning technique. The Cirebon Campus' hybrid and multi-campus learning approach will be given special attention, and it is planned to serve as a model for the Ganesha and Jatinangor Campuses.
Dr. Iwan emphasized that students who transfer to the Cirebon Campus will be properly serviced as t he curriculum and learning outcomes are comparable with the Ganesha Campus's academic program. ITB will develop the characteristics and advantages of each campus in the future as part of the multi-campus plan. ITB now operates two campus complexes in Cirebon, Watu Belah and Arjawinangun, to carry out academic activities.
The Directorate of Student Affairs will also provide student services such as services to student associations, student activity units, counseling guidance, canteens and co-working spaces, and others, in addition to academic facilities.
