ITB Hosts the 2026 FDTI Deans Course and Staff Course: Advancing Strategic Leadership and Innovation in Engineering Education

The Rector of Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Tatacipta Dirgantara, officially opened the 8th FDTI Deans Course and the 7th Staff Course 2026 at the Nemangkawi Auditorium, School of Business and Management (SBM) ITB, on Monday (July 13, 2026).

The program aims to strengthen leadership, governance, and collaboration among engineering higher education institutions in Indonesia, while promoting the implementation of good university governance, international curriculum standards, and higher education regulations. The Deans Course brought together 57 deans from 28 engineering universities, while the Staff Course was attended by 83 participants representing 19 higher education institutions across the country.

In his opening remarks, the ITB Rector emphasized that deans play a pivotal role in driving the advancement of higher education institutions. He also highlighted the Forum Dekan Teknik Indonesia (FDTI) as a strategic platform for sharing best practices, fostering collaboration, and generating innovative ideas to advance engineering education in Indonesia.

The annual FDTI program was organized through the collaboration of ITB's Faculty of Mining and Petroleum Engineering (FTTM), School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics (STEI), and Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering (FTSL), with additional support from the Faculty of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (FTMD) and the Faculty of Industrial Technology (FTI). The event brought together deans, faculty leaders, and academic administrators from engineering schools and faculties across Indonesia.
