Undergraduate Program in Environmental Infrastructure Engineering

Description
The Study Program of Environmental Infrastructure Engineering is an engineering discipline that operates in clean water provision, pollution control efforts, waste and disposal management, control of disease spread, and environmental health management, particularly environmental sanitation.

The Study Program of Environmental Infrastructure Engineering educates Bachelor of Engineering graduates with competencies in building design and access to drinking water, wastewater, waste management, and sanitation, primarily targeting the public utilities market.

Excellence
  • The accreditation institution, followed by the Environmental Infrastructure Engineering Program nationally, is professionally conducted by the National Accreditation Agency for Higher Education (BAN-PT) of Indonesia. Meanwhile, internationally, the accreditation body used as a reference is the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET), headquartered in the United States. The professional organization to be followed nationally is the Indonesian Association of Environmental and Sanitary Engineers (IATPI), and internationally, the reference organization is the American Association of Environmental Engineers (AAEE).
  • Achievements: RIL students have been involved in several accomplishments, including community service, competitions, and empowerment activities, as follows: Community service in Gunung Kidul Post-disaster sanitation community service in Palu-Sigi-Donggala (Pasigala), Central Sulawesi (December 2018), Wastewater Treatment and Livestock Farming, as well as Waste Management in Cileles Village, Jatinangor (2021), Provision of Clean Water at Pesantren At-Tanwir, Sampang-Madura (2021), Community-Based Sanitation Development and Provision of Clean Water in Kampung Tarik Kolot, Cinangsi Village, Cianjur Regency, 2nd Place in the Business Plan Competition at Sriwijaya Entrepreneur Competition (2019), 1st Place in the Business Plan Competition at Ekuitas Creative Economics Week (2019), 1st Place in the Equipment Design Competition (2019).
Objectives
  1. To produce graduates who have a solid commitment to professional development related to the field of water and sanitation and all its main components in human habitat through the application of basic knowledge in designing and the development of operating techniques in the field of environmental infrastructure.
  2. To create graduates who have the ability to adapt to change at the local and global level and are keeping pace with the latest developments through lifelong learning and/or higher education.
  3. To establish graduates who have good ethics, perform social awareness, have a nationwide mindset, and contribute significantly to improving community health and welfare.

Career Prospects
The career prospects for RIL graduates are diverse and encompass various fields, including:

  • Government: Central Government, Local Government, as well as State-Owned Enterprises.
  • Development Partners: Donor Agencies, Non-Governmental Organizations, Civil Society Organizations, and Private Sector,
  • Expertise: Expertise in planning, communication, and specialized fields.
