38th Anniversary of UKM ITB: Excitement of Minang Art, Indonesian Women Inspiration

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id - Arts Performence 38th Anniversary Culture Minangkabau ITB Unit (UKM-ITB) which took place on Saturday (20/04/13) runs with bloom. At Sasana Budaya Ganesha ITB (Sabuga ITB), the theme of this event is expected Minangkabau woman inspired the audience.
Thick atmosphere typical Minang realm, was the first man who entered the court perceived audience Sabuga. This show is a collaboration of dance, drama, and music typical Minang. Ausitorium entered, the audience was greeted by the Pasambahan galombang dance is an expression of respect for the invited guests.
Performance followed by a classical drama entitled Siti Palito. The drama was inspired by the story of the struggle of a woman who became a hero in Minang country, Siti Manggopoh. Once upon a time, there was a country that was once peaceful and prosperous named Manggopoh. However, the country changed after Rajo Kuaso Manggopoh master and colonized people. Siti and her husband, Magek, was not impervious to what happens with people, feel responsible Siti and Magek want to liberate their country from occupation.
Magek who first fell into battle hoping to beat Rajo turned Kuaso fall. This makes Siti hesitated, forward risking life or let silence oppressed their people. Palito Siti finally gone to war, it makes Manggopoh State free from the grip of Rajo Kuaso, although Siti eventually fall. Message you want to be appointed in this drama is nothing but want to prove that women can be the hero who liberated a country.
What makes it different drama packed with jokes-jokes that managed to make the audience laugh. Amount of interaction with the audience makes the story more enjoyable dish. And it makes the moral message conveyed in a straightforward drama. In every scene, tucked dances Minangkabau. The dances include, Randai, Lenggang Bagurau, Sarampang 12, Sapu Tangan, Jarak Kambang, and Piriang. Randai shown many times with different variations of ceaselessly make a boisterous crowd due to the unique sound that is produced from a combination clapping, body and galambuak (pants specifically for dancers Randai).
Piriang dance closed performances, which managed to make the audience scream with extreme attractions and solve the dancers stepped on the plate. This show was a success and is able to treat the audience to the realm of Minang missed while overseas.
