The awards were presented by the Secretary of ITB, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ir. Widjaja Martokusumo. He noted that all of ITB's journeys and achievements can only be accomplished through the dedication of its academic communities. "Many have offered their ideas, time, service, and commitment to build ITB as a huge force to be reckoned with today.”

Prof. Widjaja then mentioned the three awarded lecturers who passed away recently. The lecturers were Andar Bagus Sriwarno, S.Sn., M.Sn., Ph.D. (FSRD), Dr. Hikmat Ramdan, S.Hut. (SITH), and Dr. Ir. Bambang Priadi (FITB). "We wish all three of them were blessed and placed in their rightful places alongside God,” he prayed.

Through this ceremony, Prof. Widjaja hoped to motivate everyone in enriching both ITB and Indonesia. "We would like to congratulate all awardees and wish you all to prosper in the future.”

A total of 58 awards were handed out depending on their respective category: 12 recipients in education, 12 recipients in research, 22 people in innovation, and 12 people in institutional development.
