JATINANGOR, itb.ac.id – The Department of Media, Communication, and Information of the Agricultural Engineering Student Association (HIMAREKTA) "Agrapana" at Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) has launched the ReGrow Project as a flagship program to promote agricultural science and develop its members’ potential in journalism.

As its main output, ReGrow takes the form of a magazine that serves as a platform for expression, education, and advocacy for Agricultural Engineering students. Since its first publication, the magazine has become a symbol of student dedication and critical thinking in addressing global challenges through sustainable agricultural approaches. Developed collaboratively, ReGrow combines scientific spirit, visual creativity, and a deep concern for environmental and social issues.

In its 7th edition, ReGrow raises the theme “Carbon-Negative Farming Systems,” a concept of agriculture that not only aims to produce food but also actively contributes to reducing atmospheric carbon emissions. This theme seeks to broaden readers’ understanding of agriculture’s potential as a solution to the climate crisis. With this focus, ReGrow aims to demonstrate that agriculture can be part of the climate solution, not just a contributor to the problem.

This edition covers a wide range of compelling topics, including the implementation of Carbon-Negative farming systems, Agrovoltaic technology, the impacts of climate change on agriculture, necessary adaptation strategies, Indonesia’s food self-sufficiency challenges, and the critical importance of collaboration among farmers, the government, and academics to create more sustainable and climate-friendly agriculture. Many other thought-provoking topics are also featured.

The 7th edition of the ReGrow Project was carried out from September 2024 to April 2025 by an editorial team led by Graciela Arietha Wilhelmina as Project Manager. Helga Evangelina was responsible for Visual & Product Quality Control, while Satrio Adinoto oversaw Research & Editorial Quality Control. The team was divided into four divisions: Visual (led by Marsha Linda), Product (led by Janeeta Faiza), Research (Yusuf Yonisal S.), and Editorial (Nindya Rizqi Lestari).

This edition of ReGrow represents the contribution of agricultural students in addressing the climate crisis, with a strong emphasis on science-based solutions. The magazine seeks to raise awareness about the importance of technological innovation and sustainable agricultural practices for a better future for our planet.

To expand its reach and appeal, the magazine is published in print, accompanied by a sticker set. It is also available in a free digital flipbook format accessible via the following link:
