Exploring Global Education Opportunities: Boston University Metropolitan College (MET) Information Session at ITB

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id — Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) held an information session on educational opportunities offered by Boston University Metropolitan College (MET) on Thursday (February 27, 2025). The event provided participants with the opportunity to learn about relevant academic programs and career prospects at MET, which is one of the leading educational institutions in the United States.
Taking place in Room 2507, Labtek XIX SBM ITB, the session introduced various project-based courses that prioritize practical experience. The programs offered include undergraduate degrees, graduate degrees, as well as specialization certificate programs. MET is known for its curriculum which integrates research-based theory with real-world industry experience, making it a top choice for international students.
This session highlighted the importance of education that is adaptive to technological developments and the needs of the global market. Participants were introduced to MET’s technology-driven learning approach in areas such as advanced technology-based learning in data analytics, cybersecurity, and software application development, preparing students with the skills needed to face the future industry challenges.
Exciting Academic Programs Offered
MET offers a wide range of interesting academic programs for students to choose from, ranging from undergraduate to postgraduate levels. Undergraduate programs cover areas such as Business & Management, Computer Science, Criminal Justice, as well as Natural and Social Sciences, including Economics, Psychology, and Urban Studies. Students also have the opportunity to explore Liberal Studies topics through courses in English Literature, Art History, Philosophy, and more.
For graduate students, MET offers professional certificate programs in fields such as Arts Administration, Corporate Finance, Supply Chain Management, and Information Security. These programs emphasize practical learning, often involving guest lectures from industry leaders who offer valuable real-world insights. Additionally, graduate students can benefit from courses such as Applied Business Analytics, IT Project Management, and Project Management, which are designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills to thrive in their respective fields.
Tuition fees for master's programs range from approximately $28,335 to $46,077, depending on the chosen program. Additional costs include health insurance, books, and housing. Students enrolling in international partnership programs can access more affordable tuition options, with total costs ranging from $31,660 to $75,512.
Applicants must submit their applications through Boston University's application portal after receiving a nomination from their home university’s international office. Admission requirements include proof of English proficiency with a minimum TOEFL score of 84, IELTS 6.5, or Duolingo 115, as well as a minimum GPA of 3.0.
The application deadline for the Fall 2025 program is on April 15, 2025, with the semester starting from September 1, 2025. As for the Spring 2026 program, registration closes on October 1, 2025, and the semester begins on January 20, 2026.
