Generating Creativity and Confidence with Radio Kampus ITB

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id - "In a financially-weak condition, creative ideas should not be landfilled, so creative industry can stay afloat firmly," said Jonathan Felix, founder of idcreativeworld (www.idcreativeworld.com), a company engaged in the field of creative economy, particularly fashion. Felix was one of the speakers in the Defero 2016, a series of  talk events organized by Radio Kampus ITB. With the theme "Confidence and Creative Thinking", Radio Kampus ITB presented speakers that have skills in public speaking and creative thinking. Besides Felix, Keenan Pearce, Marializia Hasni, Prabu Revolusi, Dela & Rena, and Clarissa A. Gunawan also gives insight on Defero this time. The event was held at Aula Barat (West Hall) ITB in Sunday (31/01/16) was attended by students from ITB and other universities in Bandung.

Survive and Solve the Problem Creatively

In resolving the problem, anyone can have a personal method. Clarissa A. Gunawan (Manager of Emina Cosmetics Brand) simplified it into three steps, namely start from understanding the cause of the problem, use a different perspective, and solve them through real action. "In addition, we need to evaluate the solution to fix imperfect method and it  can be reference to the same problems in the future," added Clarissa. On the other hand, Felix has a unique view on creativity. According to him, creativity does not always spend high cost. The founder of the company that organizes the Boys Market began with a realistic attitude towards the problem, determine the goals that can be measured, and daring to make something different with added value. Felix said that creative ideas must exist and done to make things not boring, due to excites consumers to shop. From the perspective of brand consultant profession (MAKNA Creative), Keenan Pearce share experiences while addressing the problems of his clients. According to him, resolve the problem begins with determining the desired completion target. Furthermore, there should be a discussion (brainstorming), execution, and maintenance (maintenance) so there is no more beginning problem repetition.

Some questions had issued by participants that in fact as a student. One of them is about consistency in making the product. "Dare to be difference and don't fear about they judgement. Provide add value to every product," replied Felix. Clarissa emphasizes his opinion on freedom of thought and expresses it in the form of the work. Meanwhile, Keenan also emphasize on identity and the corridor that carried by the brand. This series of talks continued with a second session on creative thinking and confidence. The second session Defero 2016 presents Marializia Hasni (Presenter of Metro TV), Prabu Revolusi (CNN News Anchor Indonesia, Engineering Physics 1998 alumnus), and Dela & Rena (founder of the &pos;Cinta Itu Bisnis'). Three of speaker provides tips and answers about being creative and having confidence. Defero 2016 was held to equip students with the ability of the ITB communication, so that ITB student which most engineers will be ready to explore the world of work which is full cooperation and coordination with various parties.
