Integrated Career Days 2012: Grab Promising Career Options at Reputable Companies

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id - ITB Integrated Career Days is routinely held three times a year. The event just took place on Friday to Sunday (12-14/10/12) at Sasana Budaya Ganesha (Sabuga). A lot of national and multinational companies set up booths, providing opportunities for young graduates to apply for job.
From outside of Sabuga, it was seen that students and graduates were queueing. Dressed up with formal attire, they were ready to enter. This year's Career Days obliged the visitors to own printed ticket. Visitors who have not had the ticket must purchase before entering the event. Many visitors do not yet own the ticket, resulting in long queues outside the gate.
The visitors were students and graduates, not only of ITB, but also of other universities. They compete with one another to secure a place in reputable companies. Some companies namely Astra, Pertamina, Schlumberger, BP Tangguh, and Kaltim Prima Coal were mostly preferred by the registrants, proved by the constantly crowded registration booths.
Aside from booth visit and job application, there were presentations given by several companies. Three presentation rooms were each filled with company representative explaining company profile and the selection process. This provides additional information to be considered by the job seekers before deciding where to apply.
Benefits to Become Member of ITB Career Center
As the need to reliable recruitment - related information increases, ITB Career Center develops new features and service. Now, graduates can easily become members. ITB students and graduates can even have lifetime membership. Students and graduates of other universities can become member by routinely paying membership fee.
The membership gives a lot of benefits. Members will receive routine recruitment - related information. Members can apply for the vacancy by simply filling in member's data. In addition to that, members can always freely attend the Integrated Career Days. By only showing the printed tickets, members can enter the Career Days without having to queue for tickets. This system hopes to ease job application for young graduates.
