ITB Achieves Various Awards at the Diktiristek Awards 2023

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id - Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) achieved notable success at the Diktiristek Awards 2023, hosted by the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) of Indonesia. The event took place at the Sheraton Grand Jakarta Gandaria City Hotel in South Jakarta on Wednesday, December 14, 2023.

During his welcoming speech, Prof. Ir. Nizam, M.Sc., DIC, Ph.D., IPU, ASEAN.Eng., the Acting Director-General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology, explained that the Diktiristek Awards evolved from the Public Relations and Journalism Awards program. He highlighted, "We expanded it to include the Diktiristek Awards for universities and all their partners."

He also disclosed that the transformation of higher education has rapidly progressed in recent years. He pointed out that Indonesia has witnessed the highest increase in competitiveness in Asia over the past five years and has secured the second position globally.

"Praise be to God, now the results are starting to show, and we can feel it together," he expressed.

He believes that the Independent Learning Independent Campus (Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka) has significantly contributed to these achievements. Additionally, the collaboration between universities and industries has been one of the positive impacts on higher education in Indonesia.

The Diktiristek Awards themselves are presented as a means of evaluating and appreciating efforts to support the implementation of programs and policies in higher education, research, and technology.

The awards also serve as an appreciation to partners from ministries, institutions, the business world, industries, journalists, and media who have actively contributed in the transformation of higher education.

This year, the Diktiristek Awards carry the theme of 'Transformation of Higher Education,' encompassing the achievements of Key Performance Indicators (IKU), the Matching Fund program, and Kedaireka.

As for the achievements for ITB at the Diktiristek Awards Night 2023 include:
- National Priority Award Category Digital Economy Field: third winner in the name of Prof. Dr. Ir. Nana Rachmana Syambas, M.Eng., from the School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics (STEI)
- Collaboration Award PTN BH category Best Collaboration with Government and NGOs: bronze winner
- Resources Award Innovation of Laboratory Practitioners (KILAB) category for Educational Laboratory Pranata/PLP and Laboratory Technicians in Higher Education: 2nd place in the name of Darmanto Ady Saputra, S.ST., from the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering (FTSL)
- Public Relations Award PTN BH category Subcategory Page: Silver Winner
- Public Relations Award PTN BH category Subcategory Press Release: Bronze Winner
- PDDikti Award PTN BH category Subcategory Unit with the Best PDDikti Reporting: Silver Winner

With these achievements, there is evidence of appreciation for ITB's performance in fully supporting the transformation of higher education. Surely, these awards are the result of collaboration among the leaders, lecturers, the academic community, and all units within ITB.

ITB, as a State-Owned Legal Entity Higher Education Institution (PTN BH) in Indonesia, remains committed to actively developing knowledge, technology, and the arts, with the aim of competing not only at the national level but also on a global scale.
