ITB and Seoul National University Agreed to Collaborate in Future Research and Development

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id – ITB (Institut Teknologi Bandung) signed a cooperation with SNU (Seoul National University) from South Korea on the sharing of knowledge and research development.
The MoU was signed on Monday (6 February 2023) by the Rector of ITB, Prof. Reini Wirahadikusumah, Ph.D., with SNU Dean of the College of Engineering Yoo Suk Hong.
The signing of the MoU on Academic Exchanges between ITB and SNU was held at Rapim A of Rectorate Building ITB. It was attended by representatives from faculties/schools in ITB.
In her remark, Prof. Reini explained that the MoU was an excellent beginning for collaboration between Indonesia and South Korea in developing their research capability, particularly in the field of batteries. ITB is eager to expand its partnership on the international stage. This aspiration is possible because of ITB's talented human resources and past prevalent research.
Yoon Je Yong also expressed gratitude for this collaboration. "This is a new milestone for SNU to be able to work together with ITB. The MoU is very promising for the future," explained Yoon Je Yong.
The MoU stated that both universities have agreed to co-develop their research and educational activities by exchanging academic personnel and researchers and facilitating student exchange.
Collaboration in research projects, including data and academic publications, was also included in the MoU. Both universities have promised to support each other in financial matters regarding the continuation of the collaboration. The agreed MoU will be in motion for the next five years and is expected to be extended to sustain the advancement of the research.
