During the meeting, both parties discovered various similarities between their institutions, beyond the existing collaborations in the fields of aeronautics and mechanical engineering. In response, ITB and VAA agreed to follow up on these initiatives by drafting a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

The MoU represents a commitment between ITB and VAA to collaborate on the Tridharma of Higher Education, encompassing academics, research, and community service.

This collaboration paves the way for joint programs expected to benefit both students and faculty from both institutions. Detailed discussions included developing joint degree programs, student and curriculum exchanges, and collaborative research projects. The aim is to enhance the academic offerings and research capabilities of both universities.

Furthermore, ITB and VAA also aim to leverage their collaboration to address global challenges in aviation, engineering, and technology. The collaborative research initiatives will focus on key areas including sustainable aviation, construction, electricity, information technology, and tourism.

By combining their strengths and resources, both institutions are committed to generating innovative solutions that can positively impact society at large.

Prof. Taufiq Hidayat expressed his positive response to the collaboration between the two institutions. “The partnership with VAA is a significant opportunity for both our institutions to broaden our horizons and work together towards common goals. We are very excited about the potential joint projects that will benefit not only our students and faculty but also the broader community," he said.

This meeting marked the beginning of a closer partnership between ITB and VAA. It is hoped that both institutions will further open opportunities for innovation and collaborative projects, benefiting not only the ASEAN region but also the global community.
