ITB Hold Leadership and Knowledge Sharing Event with Microsoft

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id – The Regional Business Leader and General Manager of Asia Educational Microsoft, Larry Nelson, was invited as the speaker of the ITB Leadership and Knowledge Sharing event in the West Hall of ITB Ganesha campus, Thursday (6/4), carrying the theme "Change Leadership in Educational Digital Transformation".

ITB Knowledge Leadership Sharing was organized by the Office of ITB Vice Rector Department for Resources and Organization. It was attended by several ITB directors.

The event began with remarks from the Rector of ITB, Prof. Reini Wirahadikusumah, Ph.D. She stated ITB's vision to become an excellent, dignified, independent, and widely recognized university as a guide in a transformation that improves the welfare of Indonesia and the world.

"To achieve this great vision, we need to strengthen every aspect we are active in, including the ability of our leaders to carry out these development programs as well as the transformation program that we are currently doing.”

Prof. Reini is also grateful to receive support from Larry for participating in the event. "On behalf of the ITB community, I would like to extend our warmest welcome to Mr. Larry Nelson welcome to ITB Bandung. We appreciate your time and effort to be with us today, we are delighted to have you here," Prof. Reini said.

The Rector added that the education sector is not spared from technological leaps that change humanity. In recent years, ITB has witnessed how digital technology has been adopted in both teaching and learning processes. "However, with these changes come new challenges and opportunities, and it is crucial to have effective change leadership to navigate through these complexities.”

The event continued with Larry’s presentation on the situation and condition of technology in this era, and the changes and impacts on the education field. He then suggested the integration of Microsoft Higher Education- an AI-based software called Microsoft 365 Copilot, which is integrated with other Microsoft software, has a cutting-edge function by utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) and can increase the productivity of its users.

The event closed with the handover of souvenirs by the ITB Rector and WRSD ITB to Larry who had joined the first session of the event.
