The meeting provided an opportunity for both institutions to identify potential areas of collaboration based on their respective expertise and ongoing research activities.
The ITB delegation also visited several laboratories at Science Tokyo. These visits offered an opportunity to gain firsthand insights into research facilities and activities that could serve as a foundation for future joint research initiatives.
Exploring Student Exchange and Joint Supervision Opportunities with GRIPS
During the meeting with the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS), the ITB delegation explored various opportunities to expand academic cooperation.
The discussions covered several potential initiatives, including student exchange programs, joint PhD supervision, and cross-institutional faculty assignment schemes. Through these initiatives, ITB and GRIPS aim to expand academic engagement and bring together the expertise of faculty members and researchers from both institutions.
ITB's visit to Japan reflects its ongoing efforts to expand global partnerships through increasingly concrete collaborations at the institutional, faculty, school, and researcher levels. These partnerships are expected to create more opportunities for students and faculty members in education, academic mobility, and collaborative research.
