This program is part of the ITB Ultra Marathon’s spirit to deliver broader benefits. Through sporting events that involve the academic community and alumni, the ITB Ultra Marathon serves not only as a space for maintaining physical fitness but also as a platform for strengthening social responsibility.
Support for the ITB Ultra Marathon was also expressed by the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Dr. Ir. Pramono Anung Wibowo, M.M. He conveyed the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government’s readiness to support activities that encourage the public to adopt an active and healthy lifestyle.
A similar sentiment was expressed by the Indonesian Minister of Health, Budi Gunadi Sadikin, who emphasized the importance of exercise as part of efforts to improve public health. According to him, increasing life expectancy must be accompanied by the adoption of a healthy lifestyle, one of which is through regular exercise.
The government aims to increase life expectancy from 72 years to 76 years. To support this goal, physical activity and sports must continue to be promoted as part of efforts to build a healthier society.
Strengthening the Alumni Network

The launch of the ITB Ultra Marathon 2026 was also used as an opportunity to strengthen the ITB alumni network. The ITB Directorate of Alumni and Career Development opened registration for alumni who have not yet claimed their profiles on the Satu Alumni ITB platform.
Through this platform, alumni can claim and complete their profiles at satualumni.itb.ac.id. Strengthening this database is expected to support the development of a more connected alumni network and open up broader opportunities for collaboration.
By combining sports, social responsibility, and the strengthening of the alumni network, the ITB Ultra Marathon 2026 is expected to become part of a collective movement to bring broader benefits to society while strengthening alumni contributions to ITB.
