ITB Wins 14 Awards as the General Champion of 2022 ONMIPA

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id—Institut Teknologi Bandung emerged as the General Champion of the 2022 ONMIPA (National Olympiad of Mathematics and Natural Sciences). The competition was held by the Ministry of Education and Culture at Brawijaya University on September 18-23, 2022.
ITB won the contest with a total of 14 awards: 4 gold medals, 7 silver medals, 2 bronze medals, and 1 honorable mention.
The winner of the gold medal in the Physics category is Arkananta Rasendriya (Physics). On the other hand, the gold medalists for the Chemistry category are Muhammad Dzul Fakhri (Chemistry), Epafroditus Kristiadi Susetyo (Chemistry), and I Gde Wira Wisnanta Dharma (Chemistry).
The silver medals are won by William Sean Hendarto (Mathematics), Rahmat Esar Salsabil (Actuarial), and Dean Hartono (Actuarial) in the mathematics category; Arkan Faruqi Narawangsa (Chemistry) and Bayu Dwiputra (Chemistry) in the chemistry category, Muhammad Alifaldi Ramadhan Al-Faritsi (Engineering Physics) in the physics category; and Muhammad Irsyad (Biology) in the biology category.
The bronze medal was received by Aulia Anshari Rahman (Physics) in the physics category and Dzakwanil Hakim (Biology) in the biology category. Moreover, David Sugijianto (Aerospace Engineering) earned the honorable mention award for the physics category.
One of the advisers of the ITB delegation at the 2022 ONMIPA, Dr. Getbogi Hikmawan, S.Si., M.Si., expressed his gratitude towards the contestants for their determination and achievements at the competition. "Hopefully, we can maintain this success next year and so on."
The ITB delegates were also thankful for the assistance and opportunity provided by the ITB Directorate of Student Affairs for participating in the competition.
