QS World University Rankings 2025: ITB Climbs to 256th Globally

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id - The QS World University Rankings (WUR) for 2025 have recently been released, and Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) has proudly secured the 256th position globally with a total score of 39.9 points. This marks a significant improvement from the previous year when ITB was ranked 281st.

According to the official statement from QS WUR, ITB advanced by 25 places. The WUR scores are based on a comprehensive evaluation across several key indicators: academic reputation, employer reputation, employment outcomes, faculty/student ratio, research citations per faculty, international faculty ratio, international student ratio, international research network, and sustainability.

Notably, in 2024, ITB was also ranked number 1 in Indonesia by QS World University Rankings (WUR): Sustainability, recognizing it as the best higher education institution in the country.

The QS WUR: Sustainability 2024 report highlighted ITB’s top position in Indonesia, 74th in Asia, and 389th globally overall.

The QS WUR ranking process involves assessing 5,663 educational institutions across 106 locations worldwide. This rigorous evaluation underscores ITB’s standing among the top universities in Indonesia.

This ranking not only affirms ITB’s status as one of Indonesia’s leading universities but also reflects its ongoing commitment to enhancing the quality of education and producing outstanding graduates capable of competing on the global stage.
