BANDA ACEH, itb.ac.id — Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), through PT ITB Press and PT LAPI ITB, participated in the IV National Gathering (Silatnas) of the Business Forum for State University-Owned Legal Entities (BUM-PTNBH). The event was held at the AAC Dayan Dawood Building, Syiah Kuala University (USK), Banda Aceh, from Monday to Thursday (April 14–17, 2025)

Aiming to strengthen collaboration and synergy among state university-owned enterprises, the forum brought together over 20 campus business units from across Indonesia, along with strategic partners from the private and government sectors.

PT ITB Press Director Alga Indria and PT LAPI ITB Director Muhammad Hariyadi Setiawan attended to establish partnerships, share best practices in managing university-owned enterprises, and explore cross-institutional collaboration opportunities.
The event commenced on Monday (April 14, 2025) with a welcoming ceremony at the Banda Aceh Mayor’s Hall, featuring traditional Acehnese pantun (poetry) and culinary offerings that fostered camaraderie among participants.

On Tuesday (April 15, 2025), Silatnas IV featured two main agendas: a business expo and a gala event. During the expo, PT ITB Press received special recognition from PT Global Mandiri USK’s President Director, Rizalsyah. He praised ITB Press’s booth presentation and merchandise for their appealing quality, reflecting a strong branding identity as a university-owned enterprise.

“ITB Press demonstrates exceptional attention to detail. This level of dedication reflects a serious commitment to building a strong institutional brand,” he remarked.

Additionally, the forum included strategic discussions through commission meetings, plenary sessions, and a business pitching session connecting MSMEs, leading cooperatives, and Aceh student startups with industry players and BUM-PTNBH representatives. This initiative opened doors for concrete collaboration in startup development and strengthening inter-university innovation ecosystems.

PT LAPI ITB Director Muhammad Hariyadi Setiawan emphasized that ITB’s participation in such forums is a strategic step to explore potential synergies among campus business units and foster cross-sector collaboration in consultancy, applied research, and technological innovation.

“Silatnas serves as an effective platform for universities to learn from one another and exchange ideas. From here, we can build a mutually reinforcing campus business ecosystem,” he said.

Through active participation in Silatnas IV, PT ITB Press and PT LAPI ITB reaffirm ITB’s commitment to advancing research commercialization, innovation development, and the independence of university-owned enterprises as key pillars in supporting national development through science and technology.
