The person in charge of the SPARTA 2025 Class Action, Ribka Kaylena Sanjaya (Informatics Engineering 2025), explained that Aegis was born from concerns about the suboptimal awareness of students regarding issues around them.

“Aegis was born out of concern that Spartans lacked awareness of issues surrounding their environment and their role as students. We chose AI because the technology is increasingly present in various areas of life. As STEI-K students, we have a responsibility to understand these issues and help the community understand them as well," she said.

Unlike typical technology-themed activities, Aegis has two primary focuses: raising students' social awareness and expanding AI literacy among the general public. Thus, technology is not viewed as an end in itself, but rather as a tool to address public needs.

Ribka explained that all SPARTA 2025 cadre participants were involved in the implementation process. The planning process began with the development of a master plan, theme, and main concept, followed by the formation of a committee involving all SPARTANS without exception. Once the concept was finalized, the entire team worked together to implement the series of activities, including the implementation phase.

According to her, this process is an important learning space for students.

“The biggest challenge is pulling off an event in a short timeframe amidst varying schedules. Therefore, the competencies we aim to build are collaboration, initiative, and trust. These are the foundations for the success of this event," she said.

In addition, Aegis also provides a platform for students to showcase the innovative work they have developed. Through these projects, students are encouraged to connect academic and technological skills with solutions to societal problems.

This spirit aligns with the character of STEI-K ITB as an environment closely connected with innovation and technology. Ribka emphasized that Aegis was designed from the outset to translate student abilities into relevant contributions to social issues. the real one.
