BANDUNG, itb.ac.id—Human resource (HR) transformation will involve every civitas in Institut Teknologi Bandung, from the highest to the lowest. This transformation will provide positive results that can improve the quality of ITB's human resources, including the School of Electrical and Informatics Engineering (STEI). STEI was chosen to be the first faculty to receive socialization of the HR transformation program.
Socialization related to HR transformation was carried out at STEI on Tuesday (12/10/2021). STEI Dean, Dr. Tutun Juhana, ST., MT., said that the HR transformation process has a high level of urgency. The improvement of the HR system will make it easier for ITB to achieve every target and goal that has been made previously.
STEI is one of the faculties that have various kinds of superior human resources. With the jargon "+ GREAT." STEI desires outstanding human resources in the future. Therefore, according to Dr. Tutun, the HR transformation process is positive and becomes a support system for HR development at STEI.
In order to achieve that, material ammunition is needed, such as high-quality laboratory equipment and others to increase the motivation and enthusiasm of every lecturer at STEI. "In addition, to make the HR system more superior, STEI really needs to improve the remuneration system in realizing STEI's goals and vision and mission," said Dr. Tutun. He also added that the remuneration system at ITB, especially at STEI, has been running well and following existing regulations. However, STEI considers the percentage of income given to young lecturers is still not able to improve the welfare of the lecturers. When compared to other universities, of course, young STEI lecturers need to be given more income. It will be miserable if ITB loses excellent young lecturers due to the remuneration system that has not been maximized.
According to Dr. Tutun, it will be better if the remuneration system is improved so that it is more organized and has good quality. Thus, the "ammunition" given to young lecturers and other education personnel is maximized. Dr. Tutun is sure that remuneration improvements will encourage lecturers and staff to collaborate more to produce various ITB works.
